The Lord Will Fight For You

Scripture Of The Day

“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” — Exodus 14:14 (KJV)

By Cheryl Henderson

There are moments in life when the battles before us seem too big, too heavy, and too overwhelming to handle on our own. The Israelites found themselves in that very place—standing at the edge of the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army closing in behind them. Fear surrounded them, and there seemed to be no way forward.

But God gave them a simple yet powerful word: “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

Sometimes the greatest act of faith is not striving harder, but standing still and trusting God to move on our behalf. We often want to fix, control, and figure everything out, but God reminds us that some battles are not ours to fight. They belong to Him.

When anxiety rises and uncertainty presses in, choose peace. God sees what you cannot see. He is already making a way where there seems to be none. The same God who parted the Red Sea is still able to part the impossible situations in your life today.

Take a deep breath and release your burden into His hands. Let faith replace fear. God is fighting for you—even when you cannot yet see the victory.
