He Will Get You Through

Scripture Of The Day
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.” Isaiah 43:2
A while back, I wrote a devotional about “going through the go-throughs.” You know what I mean—those things that show up in life that you didn’t plan for. You’re simply walking in what you know and doing what needs to be done.
Everyone in the Bible went through something. Abraham had to go without knowing where he was going. Paul was beaten, imprisoned, and chained. Daniel was thrown into a lions’ den. And yet, God was faithful to every one of them.
“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went.” Hebrews 11:8
As I looked deeper into God’s Word, I noticed how often He told His people to go up, go in, walk through, pass through, go forth, go and tell, walk in, and walk after. God never promised that we wouldn’t have to go through things. But He did promise He would be with us while we go through them.
I have had my moments of fear, anxiety, and worry. I guess that makes me human. But here is what I know: I know my God. I have His Word. I have the Holy Spirit living in me. And He will get me through whatever I am walking through.
So today, whether you are going in, going through, going forth, or simply going—keep going! You are not alone. God is with you, and in the end, you win!
