Scripture Of The Day
“The Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you". John 14:17

I have heard that one of the deepest human fears is being left alone. Something is frightening about facing life’s challenges without anyone to help, comfort, or guide us. But don’t you know that our loving Father has assured us that we will never be alone?
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples shortly before He was arrested and crucified. He knew they were about to walk through something they had never experienced before. They had followed Him, learned from Him, and depended on His presence. Now, He was telling them that He was going away. Can you imagine how alone and uncertain they must have felt?
But Jesus did not leave them without hope. He promised them another Helper—the Holy Spirit.
Jesus told His disciples that He had to go so the Holy Spirit could come. While Jesus had been with them in the flesh, the Holy Spirit would come to dwell within them. What an amazing promise! They had experienced God with them through Jesus, and now they would experience God living in them through the Holy Spirit. That promise still holds for you and me today!
Think about it. The very Spirit of God lives within us to help us navigate this complicated world. We don’t have to face our challenges in our own strength or depend only on our own understanding. We have a Helper, a Comforter, and a Guide who is always with us.
John 14:17 says that the Holy Spirit “shall be in you.” Not just beside you on your good days. Not just with you when everything is going well. He lives in you. His presence is a constant reminder that you belong to God and you are never abandoned.
