Scripture Of The Day

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15

By Chris Musgrove

Mark 16: 15 says, And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Acts 1:8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Both these passages are Jesus giving final instructions to His disciples. What were these final instructions? To be witnesses, thereby preaching the gospel to everyone you come in contact with.

If you are in Christ (born again), you are a disciple of Jesus. We are all called to share the gospel with everyone we come in contact with.

Not long ago, I heard someone tell a total stranger, “Did you know God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life?" I thought about what was said to that man, and I believe he went home that day thinking about what was said to him. A seed was planted in his mind, and the Bible in Luke 8:11 calls God’s Word a seed. Always include the Word of God when talking to an individual because faith comes from hearing the Word of God. And the Word of God spoken is what will not return void, according to Isaiah 55:11.

Find a way to share these verses or whatever God leads you to share, even if you have to write your own tract or booklet. Just keep it simple. Again, it’s important to share the Word of God because it is a seed (Luke 8:11). Harvest can only respond to a seed,
